So I was accepted to UChicago as a transfer and I have a couple questions about housing before I send in my housing request.
1) I know that many transfers are housed at Maclean, are all of them housed there? (I would prefer to live on the campus proper)
2) If I can live elsewhere, what are the reputations of the dorms and which might still have space, I care more about people there/location on campus than the amenities of the actual rooms.
3) Right now, and based almost exclusively on architecture and location, I'm thinking that BJ, Snell-Hitchcock, and South Campus would be my top choices...

There isn’t really a sense of “on-campus” and “off-campus” at Chicago. Maclean is about equal distance from the quads as BJ and South Campus.

I think you’ll find a variety of students wherever you live.
