Is The village at Torrey Pines the only on campus housing for transfers? How does it work... it looks like there's a wait list, so I'm assuming its not guaranteed for transfers. Anyone have any kind of info on housing for transfer students?

It is for transfers. I wouldn’t stress over the waiting list because in the fall a lot of people who were offered a spot, myself included, didn’t take it.

As for if they offer it to juniors and seniors…my friend who’s been there since freshman year said that they only way to live on campus was at the Village, implying that you can get housing there if you’re not a transfer.

Do you know when we can apply for transfer housing? I heard may 2nd. Do you know if that’s correct?

yes its may 2nd, it says on the application itself.

i visited the village and it was very nice… kind of secluded tho i think… very quite seeming… but there is a bar right there, so all of us older transfer students can have fun. also im pretty sure the rules and regulations are way more lax at the village because of the older residents. the suite is very modern and brand spankin new… i liked it a lot. i just hope i get fin aid for housing cuz its soooo expensive.

but then again everything in sd is expensive… and its nice to be on campus
