Transfer Ideas?

Hey guys, I'm new, although I've browsed through this site quite often. Most of the ideas on here are pretty good, and I am looking for some advice or input.

I am a freshman at Providence College. I do not like it at all, and of course, I am transferring. I am a Political Science major, hoping to get into the Department of Defense or operating in Military agencies at a civilian occupation.

I have given applications to BC, Holy Cross and Fordham. I have been accepted to Holy Cross.
All materials are into BC and Fordham, and I am waiting to hear from them, but what College is the best? I have a 3.92 GPA from 1st Semester, and as of one week ago, my midterm is a 3.8 GPA.

Input and advice are mostly appreciated. Thank you!

where do you want to go? In an urban setting or suburban setting?

BC and Holy Cross are quite comparable academically and Fordham is not far behind. Any of the three will get you where you want to go. HC is by far the smallest at 3000 students and BC has 9000. Fordham has NYC but is actually in a rough section (Bronx).

We should ask:what is it you dislike anout Providence College? That would help us advise you on your three alternatives.

Thanks for the input! I am fine with either setting, more favorably on Urban, as I have lived out in the country for a while.

As for Providence, there are a few reasons. I think that the curriculum is not open minded, as in it is incredibly Westernized, with everything. I am not getting a good perspective on everything. I really can’t find much to do, because the organizations and all are not focused at all. There’s a lot to it, the recent drinking problems have me on edge too.

Rose Hill is in the Bronx, and it’s a pretty big, quiet, closed-off and nice-looking campus which the students rarely leave except when going into the city.

However if the Bronx is that scary to you (which it shouldn’t be) there’s also Lincoln Center.
