Transfer Immediately

So, just two months ago I was denied by UCLA and UCB. Since then, I've committed to UCSD.
I was wondering if it was possible for me to reapply to UCLA for the 2009 admissions go-round? What would I apply as?
I'll have AP credit for four classes and can pick up probably pick up credit for two more classes by taking cc classes. I've got the scores and GPA to get in...
I dunno, I really want to go there and don't really want to wait too long

Are you saying out of high school you will be going to ucsd, but want to go to berkeley or ucla?

If so, transferring after one year is EXTREMELY difficult, and rare, BUT it does happen. I have spent one year at UCI and have been accepted to both UCLA and UCB. To do this, 1) have an amazing gpa the entire year, challenge yourself with classes, not just GEs, and stand out to them with your club participation.
2)If you are just transferring between schools for no reason other than you don’t like your school, you stand no chance. You need to have a reason. I want to study a major my current school does not offer, things like this are what the admissions committee is looking for.

Also, plan to have 90 quarter units by the end of your first year to even apply.

Don’t be so set on transferring from the get-go. You will definitely miss some great things at UCSD if you’re too focused on leaving.

According to UC’s own transfer methodology, students from the other UCs are the very last on their list of priorities. Like Reverandspeaker said, it’s possible and it does happen, but you need to make an exceptional case for it.
