Well, if you are able to transfer in 1 year, then they’ll be worth the hassle. Make sure you like the major too and all of the classes and related classes, becuase a lot of people go into a major thinking it’s one thing, only to find it’s completely different.

oh im taking a lot of psych for it which i enjoy and im eventually aspiring to be in the fbi so its definitely a major i want.

But if you have the GI Bill, you really do have no real worries. With tuition covered, BAH and a stipend no real need for much of anything else.

Well as far as tuition goes i don’t but my parents make very little and they have three kids going to college at the same time (im a triplet) and one isnt covered by the gi bill (art school) so i have to pay for everything myself

Oh ok. Well, you’re on the right track then. Just make up that failed grade in Fall and get great grades your first semester becuase they won’t see the other grades until they make a decision. Also remember to fulfill all of your major pre-reqs and IGETC.

Oh I see, I’m sorry I thought that you had served, gotten out and were now using your GI Bill.

ohhh no its my father, he retired after 20 years and has like 70% total disability so his kids get tuition paid. we cant earn more than 10k a year though

my brother told me that they can remove it from records because of circumstances (highschool) which would make sense so hopefully i can do that if possible id remove ja 1 and 2 that way i could have a straight 4.0

That’s great news! Initiate that process as soon as you can. And of course, do well in your classes and meet all of your requirements.

If i can remove even ja 2 that would be good, but if i can do both im going to wait until i get ap test results to see if im going to need any more credit in class if i do ill keep the C in ja 1.
I’m prolly wrong but i feel like uci will be more lenient with this gpa because the small amount of classes i took before transferring means that it hits my gpa much harder and it was during highschool.

Ya obviously, if you need it for units, you have to keep it. Not meeting the unit requirement is pretty much an automatic rejection. They might notice that you took it in high school, but keep in mind that everything is very computerized these days and they might only look at that GPA number and not much else and check that you have of your requirements and IGETC done. So if you don’t need it, try to get removed.

yea thats the plan
