Transfer in possible jeopardy?

Hello,
I recently got "accepted" as a transfer to UT at Austin for the Spring semester. Although the letter seemed to automatically confirm my status, because of the way it was written being all congratulatory and all, the reason why I wrote it as "accepted" is because, due to family and personal issues, I've had a bit of a fallout that forced me to withdraw from two classes (leaving only six hours for me to complete this semester). I received another letter that told me that I was still expected to keep up my performance in said classes or the transfer status may be withdrawn.
My parents tell me not to worry but I'm asking here to perhaps get some information from people who had a similar experience to mine. Should I call the admissions department and tell them of my situation?

Thanks.

Still looking for any tips at all on what I should do.

how do they know about your withdrawn classes? i would def call them if i were you.

I agree that you should be proactive and call UT now and explain your situation. Six credits is less that full time, and is a major change from what they expected you to do when they made the decision to accept you.

I think they would be much more liable to listen to your reasons now, rather than later. And if they’re going to rescind your acceptance, it’s not going to change that, but it will let you know sooner.
