anyone in the know care to shed some light on the significance of a transfer candidate being selected to interview with an admissions committee member? anyone have any experience? what to expect? etc.

hey, darkstarrising. i'm in the same boat.

It's a good sign if a transfer applicant is asked to interview. The majority of candidates are not interviewed. All the same advice that applies to freshman interviews applies here -- just do a thread search. (Some people get in without being asked to interview, so don't assume there's no hope if you don't get called.)

Didn't you just ask this question at "the other place" yesterday ... and get the same answer?

There's some useful stuff in the Transfers section.

i think darkstarrising means that he/she was asked to interview with an admissions officer instead of an alum.
