Transfer: Interviews a Requirement?

So, I applied to Georgetown (among other colleges) as an undergraduate transfer.

I did not have time to schedule an interview during this semester; I have been WAY too busy. I was just wondering if they are requirements for Georgetown?

If you got an e-mail with a name of an interviewer, it was technically required. Otherwise, it wasn’t and it doesn’t factor into admissions. If you had an interviewer assigned and just weren’t able to connect with them, I’m not sure how they view that but I’d think it wouldn’t that big of a deal

Pretty sure you’d find a way to not be “WAY too busy” if getting into Georgetown really meant that much to you…if an interviewer contacted you then it was your responsibility to contact them and schedule an interview. You should’ve been able to give 30 minutes of your life to an alumni interviewer. To be honest, you may have jeopardized your chances of getting in, as interviews make you a more competitive applicant over those who didn’t have one and especially considering the manner in which you decided not to have one if you were contacted.
