Transfer into Cornell Hotel School? Help

Hello!

I am a prospective NYU Stern Business School student who is considering the option of transferring next year.

As far as I know, I heard the hotel school looks for people who have a lot of hospitality experience. Currently, I have no experience in this field, but I am on the lookout for one for this summer.

If I take part in activities related to the hospitality field, take management classes, and manage my GPA well enough, would I have a shot at the hotel school?

HS GPA and SAT scores were pretty good (4.2ish, SAT 2300, 800, 800, 780)

Any advices to having a better chance in admission?

Find a job in the field and get as much experience as possible. Actually working in the industry and displaying passion for it will help you a lot.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to go to the hotel school? Do you actually want to go into the hospitality industry or do you want to eventually transfer to the cornell CAS or business school?

Can’t fake passion (:

Doesn’t NYU have a hotel school? Have you taken any coursework there?

Why not transfer into AEM at Cornell?
