Can't speak for all but for UIUC the answer depends on knowing a lot more information and that is likely true for others. For transfers, UIUC favors residents (for freshman admissions it does not) and thus that is one factor against you. However, that does not rule out anything. More important factors are the following:

When are you attempting a transfer? At UIUC it is much easier to transfer effective beginning of junior year of college rather than before. Moreover, SAT score means nothing if you wait till junior year as what counts is college GPA; it is a factor if you attempt transfer before then.

Each program has a certain minimum GPA for transfer. Your 3.2 sounds OK but then very often you need to have a certain GPA in courses relevant to the major in addition to an overall GPA that meets a certain level.

Have you completed courses required for a transfer? This is where many out-of-state can easily find themselves rejected. Each program has minimum course requirements needed to effect a transfer. You can find all of this at UIUC's admissions pages on-line that are dedicated to transfers.

9 for U of F - I live in Gainesville and let me tell you how the F-d up system works. Florida law says that U of F must accept every in state CC transfer that applies with their AA under their belt. Yep. EVERY ONE OF THEM. So SFCC, CFCC, SJRCC, LCCC etc. are on the top of the totem pole for UF transfers. Next in line are transfers from other Florida schools (i.e. FSU, UWF, UNF, USF, UCF, FAU, FIU, FGCU), Next in line after that are transfers from out of state Universities. Finally, at the dirt bottom of the totem pole are people from out of state CC's. Unfair, I know, but that's how it works. Florida has a thing about keeping in state students in state (Thats why UF is 91% in state students). I don't know enough about those other schools, but UF is almost definitely a no. And I'm saying that regretfully because I believe you'd be a better contributer than most of the in-state CC students who got like 850's and 2.2's in HS, but yet still get in. It's a sad, sad world.

look on the bright side, Florida is I believe the only school you have listed that is like that. Maybe if you really wanted to come to UF you could wait until Jeb leaves office as governor and Florida may actually have a good education system. Hey! Maybe our new Governor will give our Highschool's back their 7th period and reinforce class size restrictions!

i will have more than enough credits and yes, im planning on transfering as a junior.

haha, thats horrible. damn gators. wouldn't it be cool if they had a university of disney world.

they do. It's called UCF. It's in concrete-land U.S.A., gateway to the ugly half of florida, AKA Orlando. Ocala and southward is hideous... Unless you hate nature, love loud obnoxious rich old conservatives, love overpopulation and urban sprawl, love flat and unchanging land, and hate seasons.

blindc1rca,

it doesn't affect you if CC transfers get into UF. It really, really doesn't. They've been doing it for awhile now and it hasn't tarnished the reputation of UF yet. It's still considered a very good school.
