Transfer Majors

Hi. I'm currently a high school student, and I just got accepted to Trinity. When I applied in December, I thought I was going to become an economist/financier because I liked Math, but over the course of my high school senior year, I fell in love with Physics. My Physics teacher this year was amazing (last year, my Physics teacher never took the effort to teach us, so back then I didn't take interest in science).

So my question is, how soon can I switch to Engineering at Pratt from Economics at Trinity? Do I have to take Economics classes my freshman year until I can transfer or can I talk to someone right now (as a high school senior) to ask if I can switch immediately? Thanks for your help.

I think you have to wait until after your first year to transfer. If you’re transferring from Trinity -> Pratt, they will look closely at your math and science grades to see if you’re ready for the Pratt coursework.

Thank you for your help.
