Transfer Merit Scholarship Money?

Hello everyone,

I am currently a college freshman looking to transfer.

Is transfer scholarship money available? Is it possible to obtain it through the school itself? Is it possible to obtain it through out side sources?

Should I make a personal call explaining my intentions and situation to the school or will I get the same result through an application and an email?

I am grasping at straws here.

Assume High HS/College GPA
Assume High Test Scores
Assume Excellent Extra Curricular's
Worked in a private law Firm and started a business

I feel I have a lot to offer said University. However, my attendance is only possible with the help of merit aid. How do I show how much I have to offer to the University?

I am confident if said University were to invest in me it would be to their advantage.

Thank you!

Each place posts information about transfer scholarships right on its website. If you can’t find it there, send an email and ask.

Generally there tends to be far less merit scholarship money available for transfers. Typically they either have nothing or have ones for people transferring from (usually instate) community colleges.

The Resources sticky thread that has a link to a thread with merit scholarships, but you already know that as you were instructed to look there in a previous thread.

The same way every other transfer applicant does: get top grades, take rigorous courses, get to know profs/TAs by participating in class and office hours, participate in ECs you’re interested in, retake standardized tests if necessary.
