Alright guys, I’ve got a tough one. I’ve never met somebody in the same situation as me so maybe one of you guys might have some insight for me…
So I atteneded ASU right out of high school as an out of state student, unfortunately my financial aid didnt end up covering the cost of attendance and I was faced with a letter saying I needed to pay them 15K or I could not return to school and would not receive my transcripts. Seeing as I was raised by a single parent, coming up with 15k to pay for school was just not an option. I left school and ended up working for a couple years to try and save up. Last October I decided to find a way to return to school so I enrolled at my local community college. After a few terms making the presidents list, I have decided to start trying to apply to 4 year universities to continue my schooling. Unfortunately I still don’t have my transcripts from ASU. I have already applied to a school on the east coast and my GPA is high enough to get me in with a 15k per year scholarship. I have not told the school about my time at ASU. Does anyone on this site have experience similar to my situation? What are the chances that the school I’ve applied to digs and finds out about ASU? Any insight would be much appreciated!
The chances are 100%. No digging involved. The National Student Clearinghouse will allow prospective universities to be aware of your time at ASU.
