Graduated from TJ with a 3.0, spent 2 years at Northern Virginia Community College and currently have a 3.7, though I’ve still got a few classes to go. I’ve got 55 credits from courses taken at NVCC and I’ve got an additional 20 credits from APs that’ll transfer to either JMU or UVA. I could list my other crap like internships, extracurriculars and recs, but I doubt you care (I hate when people write their life stories on these forums and expect people to read the whole thing).

When I sent in my application though, I made a note at the end that requested that I be considered for Arts & Sciences if I didn’t get accepted to McIntire. And since I’ve fulfilled all of the guaranteed admission agreement requirements (http://myfuture.vccs.edu/Portals/0/ContentAreas/AcademicServices/VCCS_UVA.pdf), if I don’t make into McIntire, I’m still guaranteed admission to Arts & Sciences.

Still, it was nice to get a big fat envelope from JMU today. :)

congrats to the acceptance!! did you recieve anything online about the decision or just in the mail?

Ah! I’m so antsy! I just want the decision to come. It takes the pressure off that I already got into UNC-CH, but it would be nice to hear from my safety. I just wish all colleges did online acceptances, then I wouldn’t have to be constantly checking my college mailbox!

Haha! Scratch that! The e-mail that I’d been avoiding looking at for the past 5 minutes b/c I though it would be another activities e-mail ended up being from JMU! Oh how life works in mysterious ways.

Truess I have the same problem. I called and they were no help at all. All they really said was just wait until mid-April to see if I have heard anything back, even though I live in NOVA and all my friends in this area have received word back. I don’t know what this means and it kind of worries me.

They sent out an e-mail to all accepted transfer students about the school of art and art history program, so I’m just assuming that I got in. I still haven’t receive any actual information. I never got an acceptance e-mail or package…
