<p>Hey, so i just wrapped up my freshman year at elon university and had some second thoughts. In terms of its atmosphere socially and physically, I loved it, but unfortunately the specific business major i want to pursue doesnt have a very strong program at elon, thus my seconds thoughts. Anyways, what type of schools are very possible assuming i have a good essay? Ivys? top 15 business schools? I'm just trying to grasp where i lay with all the other transfer applicants from competitive four-year universitys.</p>
<p>A 3.8 will be competitive everywhere. Not all Ivies accept transfers since they don’t have the dorm space however; check out the Common Data Sets to see how many transfers they’ve taken the last couple of years.</p>
<p>btw: Cornell is transfer friendly, so is NYU, USC, Michigan, Cal-Haas, etc. But be prepared to pay full price. Transfers don’t get a lot of fin aid.</p>
<p>Were you competitive for Ivys or top schools out of high school? What are your SATs? I’ve always heard that those who transfer to Ivys would have been candidates for them out of high school and since they accept very, very few transfer students, I’d say it’s unlikely. However, if you put in one more year at Elon and keep your gpa where it is, you may be able to transfer to UNC-CH which has a fabulous undergrad business school.</p>
<p>What is the specific business major where Elon is not very strong? Why is that?</p>
