Do we get to register for classes for the Fall’13 at orientation?

yes. that’s why it is important to get the earliest orientation date you can.

Yes, you do register for classes at orientation. No, it’s not important to get the earliest orientation date. They will always open up new classes throughout orientation season and during open registration in late August.

It wouldn’t be fair if all the classes were opened at once during the first few orientation dates. The students would choose the most convenient times and “best” professors leaving the awkward hours and “bad” professors to late orientation attendees.

I attended one of the later orientation dates (early august), and I had absolutely no problem getting the classes I needed.

What exactly do you do during orientation besides register for classes? I have orientation in August and on my Bronco direct it says it’s from 8am-6pm?

Learn how to use BroncoDirect to register and pay for classes. Short campus tour. Listen to talks about finances, services (police/health/counseling), parking, housing. Advice about how to stay on track towards graduation. Open house/fair regarding extracurricular activities, transportation, etc. with representatives. Get an ID card. And finally, after splitting off into your respective departments, register for classes. You’ll get out by 5PM if you’re lucky.

What I learned that I didn’t know before? You get fined $500 if you’re caught picking any of the roses.
