Transfer Orientation

The website says that there’s two orientation sessions, on July 25-27 and August 29-31.

However, when I try to sign up, it only lets me sign up for the orientation on July 25. Did anyone else face this issue too?

I also had this problem. I decided just to register for the July one because I’m just really tired of having to keep track of the dozens of things I need to do and wanted to get it out of the way.

I’m signing up for that one as well. Does anyone know what makes the transfer orientation different? Can we still sign up for Common Ground, and is it worth it as a transfer?

Okay, just had this issue fixed. For some reason, you have to call and tell them you want to attend the August orientation. I did so, and I am now signed up for that.

Does anyone know if it’s difficult to get classes as a transfer student? I feel like if I go to the August orientation rather than the July one, it’ll be too late to get any classes that I might need.

Cana anyone confirm this?

My advisor has already emailed me and I have already registered for classes.

Maybe yours will do so as well?

I really haven’t gotten much contact from the school. Feels like I’m blindly going into things.

How did you get an adviser assigned to you? They haven’t done that for me yet. What school are you in giantmidget =P

School of Management. I guess it’s cos we have strict requirements we have to follow. CAS students probably have more flexibility.

Ah ok, yeah. SMG does have a lot of requirements then. Maybe I should just call up my department then, cause with my Chemistry major I have strict requirements also =(.

COM emailed everyone to set up meetings for registration so I already signed up for classes

Oh wow… COM and SMG have their stuff together!! So then what’s the point of even going to orientation haha! I guess I need to call up my department =(, they haven’t even assigned me an adviser.
