anyone heading to orientation on the 13th of august from the sacramento and surrounding area? im going by myself, possibly looking to set up some kind of carpool

I am going on the 12th, from somewhere in LA County. I planned to be there by bus on the 11th to visit a couple of renting apartment near the school, stay at motel till the 12th, and attend the orientation.

yeah… i will most likely just drive my moto down, but i dont want to pay all that gas. im broke son! hopefully i can find someone in a similar situation around my area

Um… Hope you can find your carpool soon. Will are you going to live? I mean in fall

I am driving down from sac area… But I’m starting for summer on august 2nd. I know there’s a train that goes from sac to sb. Not sure if it’s cheaper than gas would be, but it’s worth checking out.

for sure^
im living in manzanita. not tooooo ridiculously excited about moving from my large home in which i live by myself into a tiny, shared room with a possible freshmen…but eh, should be an experience right?

Manzanita looks pretty sweet though compared to San Raf. How do you know where you’re living already? They told me I have a dorm for the fall but haven’t told me if it’s San Raf or Manzanita.

I would, but I’m going down early to visit some family in the area.

I too would like to know how you found out which dorm you will be living in this fall. All I heard was I would find out which one sometime around early september.

actually i was talking to someone in the housing office and they said that i was 99% sure in manzanita. something about the amount of transfer students or somethin. so i guess my answer was a little preconceived. sorry to get anyone’s hopes up about housing info.

i really want to car pool down there… i do not want to ride my moto all the way there to stay for one day

manzanita is cool, they’re the newest dorms, could be a lil too quiet at times though but its right near the beach and DP

i would not ride my bike there… especially if you ride a supersport.

^ive already done it twice, its not a fun ride

I’d take the train if you cant find a ride

dude you are crazy, i rode from LA to SB (on a GSXR) and i was dying by the time I got back to LA. I could never make it from sacramento.

yeah its preetty horrible. the last time i road it was in april… ended up riding from the summit all the way to PAST firebaugh in 60 mph winds and ****ing rain. my hands and knees were litterally fuschia.
