Transfer out of UCR

Hi, I am currently a Political Science major at UCR. I have been working at a accounting firm over the last year and I have decided to pursue that as my career. The unfortunate part is that UCR does not have this major.
I need to transfer out immediately in order for me not waste any time and money. After this following quarter i will have completed 62 units- probably 52 units being transferable.
Can someone guide me on what to do please?
I am thinking about going to Glendale and Pasadena Community College to get the requirements needed for a accounting transfer.
But, i am not so sure
any help and guidance will be appreciate.

You will be able to do a cross-UC transfer with need to change majors as the reason. You don’t have to complete the requirements at a CC.

Just fill out the appropriate transfer applications.

How do i do that?
what steps do i take?

if you don’t know what to do next for a UC-UC xfer, speaking with a counselor at your school might be a good idea.

This is something you need to do right away; this week would be a good idea. The reason is many colleges, including many of the UCs with accounting programs, do not accept senior-level transfers. The rules are different for every campus, but you need to be cautious about earning enough units to be considered a college senior. If you plan it right things can work out fine, but the earlier you start the better.

Looking at your past posts, you were asking about accounting majors back in June, yet it looks like you’re spending another year at UCR going down a different track. Had you instead attended a CC, something you had 3 months to look into, it is possible that this fall you could have been enrolling at a UC or CSU to study accounting. If you are serious about this then you really need to get a move on here.
