So, I just transferred schools, took my language placement test and somehow ended up in Spanish IV. The problem is, that I took Spanish IV last year, and got a really good grade: 98. The placement was oral, and I have not had an opportunity to speak over the summer, so I was a little rusty, but after the first few days of school, it is clear that I am at a higher level than anyone in the class. I'm working on moving up to a higher level, either V, or if I'm really really luck, AP, but how bad would it look on my transcript if I have taken Spanish IV twice?

Go back to your teachers and ask for another try at the placement test. Tell them what you’ve told us here. Find out if you could be in Spanish V or AP for a day or two to see how well you keep up.

Good luck!
