I originally planned to attend a music school and play bass in college. I applied and was accepted everywhere I auditioned (new school/berklee), but when it was time to enroll my parents told me playing bass would get me nowhere ... so I was forced to attend school in rva. My SAT/high school GPA are so low b/c i really never considered going anywhere but a school for music.

I also took japanese in hs but it isnt offered at my college. I will be taking japanese class during the summer at tcc

What do you think my chances of getting into tech are as a transfer

Any other suggestions for schools?

urm if that helps

I think you have a good chance. urm status will help too. Good luck!

What does VT look at most for transfer students ecs? gpa? essay?
Im really hoping its not hs stats.

If you're a freshman now they probably will look at hs stats a little more, but if you are a sophomore then it is just primarily college work from what I understand.

Is VT's approach to admission more holistic? Or should I drop some EC's and really focuses on Overloading and nailing my GPA
