Transfer Possibility?

Could a current Occidental student take the time to "chance" me please?

Whittier College (Private, not Rio Hondo Community College)
Freshman
4.0 GPA fall semester (Dean's list)
Art History and French Language double major (taking higher level French courses as a freshman)
Photography Editor for the school's weekly newspaper
French Tutor

My high school record was very mediocre. I made the unfortunate choice to not take any AP or honors courses, even though I knew I could've excelled in them. I graduated high school with a 3.87 GPA, still reaching in the top 7% of my class at a large public school.

My extra activities during high school would be both advanced concert band and marching band for 3 years, cross country for one season, and a lot of volunteer hours with my church.

I want a second chance at Oxy because I need to be in a more academically focused campus.

Thanks in advance!

Uhh... with those stats you can probably get into a college better than Occidental. Are you kidding me 4.0? Might as well try Stanford while you're at it.

Also that High School GPA... is not bad at all. Oxy is pretty much a match or safety for you. If it makes you feel any better I'm applying with a 2.8 gpa :P

But yea, they're probably gonna accept you once they look at that GPA, unless you decide to insult them in your short answer essays.

You have a definite shot - there are always people who transfer in their sophomore year
