Transfer Possible?

Hi, I am applying to Fordham as a spring semester transfer student. I know some of you may be sick of chancing people, but I am having a difficult time gauging my standings and would really appreciate the help...that being said here are my stats

Borough of Manhattan Community College
Credits Completed: 38
GPA: 3.95
Credits in Progress: 18

Columbia University Summer Session
Credits Completed: 3

EC's
Ballet Dancer- I moved away from home for my jr and sr year of HS to pursue ballet at a very prestigious academy. I lived with a host family. It was my intention to become a professional ballet dancer, and I danced approx. 40 hrs a week. I also took a year off in between HS and college to continue dancing. I was offered a position in a company however I turned it down. I still dance for fun...this information is all factored into my essay

Columbia University Note-Taker for Basic Mathematics

Financial Literacy Ambassador- I led discussion to NY public high school students on finance, in terms relating to their life. I was selected by administration who run the program to be student rep. at a national conference

Part-time Jewelry exhibition staff at Doyle Auction House
Part-time babysitter

Honors
Member of Phi Theta Kappa
Placed on Dean's list every semester at BMCC

I am applying to CBA and I am undecided with my major. Does it sound like I have a chance of admittance? Thanks.

I forgot my Columbia GPA 3.67

Your college GPAs are great! But since your hs. gpa is low, I would add a short essay about how you realized the importance of education during your college years, etc., etc.,...something along that nature. You are correct that SATs will not be required for you. Write a great essay, get some great recs from your cc teachers & explain away that low h.s. gpa & I personally think you look great! Good Luck! And you know there's no housing available for transfers, right?

Thanks for the response FordhamAlum. Yea, I know there is no housing. That's fine with me. I have another question though. I am thoroughly confused about if I should apply to CBA or Liberal Studies? I like finance and business, but I also really love international relations and was considering philosophy. Right now I think I want to go into law, but I'm not ready to give up the idea of business yet because what if law doesn't work out for me? I'm just not ready to close anything off yet. If I apply to liberal studies do you think 1) my chances for acceptance will be greater 2) will I lose recruiting/ career opportunities if I were to major in Economics in liberal studies? I am confused!

rcl, I pm'd you.
