transfer potential from virginia tech

<p>hey guys, sorry to put another one of these up but i would really appreciate some input:</p>

<p>HS gpa: 3.7
First semester college gpa: 3.72
SAT (old format): 1310
ACT: 29
ECs: Varsity Sports, National Honor Societies, Editor of the Yearbook, Student Body elected office, 3 years experience working on Capitol Hill, various other recognitions, etc.</p>

<p>I want to major in political science, am in-state, was waitlisted last spring, but was told that the admissions dept "loved" my essays...</p>

<p>any thoughts?</p>

<p>I transfered from Tech to the UVa government program with a 3.5/3.6 unweighted in HS, a 1350, and a 4.0 at Tech. I had a lot fewer ECs than you and I too was waitlisted out of HS. I think you're in, no question.</p>

<p>Yea, you're probably in. I know a lot of people here who had worse stats than you. As long as you apply for fall admission, you should be fine. Good luck!</p>
