Hey guys,

So I plan on applying to FSU fall term very soon, I'll be receiving my AA with somewhere between a 3.3 and a 3.6. Is that going to be enough to get me in? Have you been accepted with lower or know of anyone who has been?

Any advice or comments are appreciated.

It depends on the major that you are applying to, and whether you have met all the prereq’s for that major. You need to be familiar with the academic MAP’s at FSU and be sure you are on MAP and have met all milestones for the major you apply to. Some majors are limited access so there is competition for slots. If you are off map, don’t apply for that major, apply for another and once you are on course you can change.

I got in with 3.17 and no pre-reqs for my major. But then again, I’m majoring in the easiest thing in the world, criminology! lol

Thank you for the responses I am on track and have completed all of the required coursework and I am in constant communication with the school and advisers there. I plan on transferring into the political science program. My only worry is that their poli sci program is one of the best and they by no means need me.

Well you could transfer as an English major and then once you’re in switch over to Poly Sci if you can. I minoring in Poly Sci, it’s a love/hate relationship.
