Transfer Qs

I applied for summer transfer and have a few questions. Would really appreciate any answers as I'm a little worried.

-Should I have applied for fall instead? I would think it would be trivial but I looked and they accept way more people in the fall.

-My residency for tuition is listed as in-state and I said I was from OOS. Is this a typo? (not complaining though)

-If I had applied from high school I think I would have been accepted, as I had a 28 ACT and 3.4 GPA. But now in college I have a 2.7 which seems really low..and it looks like most majors require 3.0. Is 2.7 too low to be competitive for anything? I really want to go to a&m. Do you think I could get in or is it a crapshoot?

Well regardless, you’ll most likely won’t get in with a 2.7 GPA. I think you really need to bring it up to at least a 3.0 for them to look at you.

Don’t know why. Might be a typo…

Why didn’t you apply from high school?

I only applied to a couple colleges in high school. Out of state didn’t really appeal to me then.

sigh…oh well

You will not get into engineering or business with tha GPA. However, you still could have a chance with liberal arts or general studies. There isn’t much competition for summer applicants so the odds are in your favor. Good luck!

yea u applied in the summer so that may save you, i wish i had applied to UT in the summer
