I was recently admitted to a well-respected LAC. However, I was rejected from my first choice research university. I was hoping to be able to apply as a transfer my freshman year of college.
If I am not admitted to my first choice, will I still have the opportunity to apply again as a sophomore in college (even though I have technically been rejected by them twice at that point)?
Thank you very much in advance. I am very unfamiliar with the transfer process and appreciate any information.
Yes. I can’t imagine any college has a policy that you can only apply once or twice – that’d be so pointless. Don’t forget to give the LAC a chance though. Good luck!
I’m pretty sure you can keep applying to any college as many times as you want, as long as you meet their requirements. However, I’m not really sure why you would do that. I know you may really want to go to this particular college, but after being rejected twice just move on and find your place at a different school versus hanging on to something that may not ever happen.
But yes, I think you can keep applying semester after semester until you get in.
