Transfer question - please help

If a school says this - It is important to realize now that you will NOT be able to transfer to UF until you meet the prerequisite course work and GPA requirements for that major.

and I don't have the prereqisites for the major I want (economics), do you think I would have any problems if I apply to a major with 0 pre reqs (english), attend the school and in the first semester simply take the prereqs for economics and switch majors after requirements are met?

Thanks!

Hehe, this plan sounds evil after I read through it again...

Its money. Go for it.

I'm wondering though if I'll have trouble signing up for the eco pre reqs if they're not related to the easy access major. Any thoughts?

No ofcourse not. Coz, even for the english major I'd assume they'd like some breadth requirements. Its not like you have to do all english courses.

Does anyone know how much financial aid I'm likely to get for University of Florida? i'm instate, so everything would be about $13,000.

Is this the way it works? - let's say that they determine my family is capable of paying $10,000, this means we'll get $3000 aid and pay the rest out of pocket? So going to an expensive private college with $25 - 30,000 gift aid could end up about the same as instate. Does that sound logical?

Btw, does anyone have any more thoughts on the original topic?
