Just a quick question.

I applied to transfer to Columbia for next fall. Quick stats: 3.7 College GPA (Straight A's and one random B- in a non-major course), 33 ACT, 3.9 High School GPA, glowing recs, hopefully impressive essays. I am NOT applying for financial aid.

Right now, I am taking a geology course, and my midterm grade was disastrous, I did the math, and assuming that I get a 100% on the final exam, the highest grade I can come out with is a B overall. More realistically, if I get around a 90%, I'll have a C+. It's not my strongest class by a long shot, and I wouldn't be surprised if I scored in the 80's on the final exam.

Should I drop the class? I'm afraid that if I do get accepted, they'll rescind their offer once they see my final transcript. I've got A-'s this time instead of A's too, so the general hit on my GPA is looking a little nasty.
