<p>I go to one of the top five liberal arts schools in the US. It's in New England and I'm from a suburb outside of Houston. I'm not doing well here psychologically and think its because I wasn't ready for such a giant transition. I think Rice would be a better fit and I'd be much more successful there. Considering most applicants to transfer to Rice are probably from Texas schools or public universities (other threads seem to support this), what would anyone say my chances are of getting into Rice as a transfer. My freshmen GPA will probably be in a range of 3.3-3.8, my profs all went to Ivy league and the like. Probably going to major in Asian Studies. SAT 690M 700CR 730WR. 10 APS all fives. Lots of leadership etc in HS.
