<p>Is it possible for me to go to Eastern Connecticut State University for a year and then apply as a transfer to UCONN Storrs? How much do they look at your SAT scores as a transfer?</p>
<p>Yes you can. Yes they do. It is impossible to quantify “how much” they consider the SAT at that stage.</p>
<p>This was the same exact position I was in last year. I didn’t even apply to UCONN, not thinking I can get in and decided to go to Eastern for a year and then see what happens.</p>
<p>I think it is absolutely possible because I’m a current freshman at ECSU and I just received my acceptance letter to UCONN today!
My HS GPA was about 2.8 uw/3.1 weighted. My HS SATs were 1080/1680. I did retake the SATs in December and got 1130/1750 so I don’t know how much of those scores were taken into account. They weren’t amazing scores.
My best advice is to keep your GPA up. My first semester GPA was a 3.89. I definitely do think it is easier to be admitted as a transfer than a first year.
