I'm looking for transfer admissions statistics. I've searched on the UVa website and have done numerous searches in Google, but I cannot find anything.

I have found the first year admission statistics, but those do not help me.

I know that the average GPA for an admitted transfer is a 3.5, but I also know that UVa looks at more than just college GPA.

I'm mainly looking for statistics like:

What were the average SAT scores for a transfer applicant?

What is the average high school GPA of a transfer applicant?

Did the average applicant have a lot of extracurriculars?

Anyone know where I can find more transfer statistics?

There is a transfer blog - uvatransferadmission.blogspot.com

I don’t remember if there are those kind of statistics, but keep in mind that the Guaranteed Admissions Agreement with Virginia Community Colleges affects these kinds of averages since there are no requirements for a minimum SAT score or extracurricular involvement.

Where will you be transferring from, and after how many years of school? Second year transfers are more likely to have been strong candidates in high school, since UVa has very few college grades to review at the time of admission. Third years are more of a wild card. Personally, I would not have been competitive in high school, but there are many more transfers who could have succeeded at UVA right after high school.

If you have more specific questions about transferring, feel free to PM me.
