<p>How much influence does the school one is transferring FROM have on a prestigious college's decision to admit an applicant?</p>
<p>I ask this because, for example, an A from a top 50 private is different from an A from a community college.</p>
<p>I don’t think anyone here can quantify how much your current school matters. Your gpa, rigor of courses, school and LORs are all factors i assessing your academic status. And all of this is taken within the context of your entire application.</p>
