So all throughout high school I was amazing at doing absolutely nothing. My GPA was around a 2.2 when I graduated, which I recall is about average, a C or something like that, but more to the point, I eventually decided I wanted to go to a university because the real world sucks when you crave challenge and are capable of much more. So I've actually managed to be admitted into a fairly reputable state university, but the thing is, I want bigger, I'm capable of bigger. Understandably, my desired university was likely to wave me away for my average GPA and absolutely no lack of academic recommendations, so I know I could take classes at this university I'm currently enrolled at to bolster my GPA (and gain some much needed recommendation potential I suppose), but I don't want to transfer my general education or any credits from present university to desired university; I know I could do that and it's probably easier but I would rather have the complete education at my desired university. So any help here would be appreciated. Thanks.

When you apply for a transfer you are required to send in all transcripts from colleges you have attended. The college you transfer to will determine which classes it will accept, you have no choice in this.

So there’s no way around this? No way I could just attend a small while to boost my GPA enough to be accepted without carrying credits or anything, so I could still take all the gen ed classes at my desired university?

I would think that if you’re paying for classes you would want some credit for them. But one potential way around this is if the courses you take at your current uni are not transferrable to your future uni. So the credits you earned wouldn’t really count towards anything, just empty credits.

Then only way around this is taking courses that would not be transfered to another university because said university does not offer them.

That would require you to research what classes are available at the university you wish to transfer to and then purposely taking courses that would not transfer over.

This is a strange predicament, normally people are doing the opposite of what you want to do. But i suppose stranger things have occurred.
