I currently attend Michigan State and am seriously considering transferring to U of M. I am a rising sophomore in the honors college with a 4.0 GPA and majoring in business. Due to Ross having a 1% transfer rate, is it possible for me to transfer into LSA for the Winter term this coming winter and then apply to Ross for the fall 2015 school year. Is U of M okay with people spending an extra year at Ross or is it only really for people who start the program as sophomores? Will I have a decent shot at getting in even if I do not have a GPA since it will be my first semester there when applying? I am confident that I would be accepted into LSA, but do not want to transfer if I have absolutely no shot at getting in to Ross.

The odds of getting into Ross as a Junior are no worse than the odds of getting into Ross as a Sophomore. If you are willing to spend an extra year in college to get your degree, Ross won’t judge! ;)

Considering I would not even have a GPA from U of M when applying, what would they base my application off of? If admitted to LSA, I intend on getting involved in a few business clubs. Would they consider my GPA from MSU, clubs that I participated in, internships that I have had, or is strictly what I would accomplish at U of M in what would be my short time there. I would rather stay at MSU if I have a disadvantage into getting to Ross.
