Transfer Question

I’m a senior in highschool already thinking of transferring into a different college. My question is what is the earliest time you can transfer into a different college? I’ve heard some people transferring to a different college during their freshman year in the spring. Is this a real possibility? And if so do you guys recommend this, or recommend to complete whole freshman year before transferring.

Since you are a Senior in high school, how about applying to the schools you actually would like to stay at for 4 years? is it a financial issue? if so, the you probably want to stay 2 years before transferring. Otherwise, there needs to be a very, very good reason for you to transfer after just one semester. Remember, you need to make the case if the school is highly selective and one semester is not really enough to do so.

Consider the following situation. You wanted to go to school A but you did not get in (or think you could get in) as a first year so you go to school B with the intention of transferring to school A. If you only have one semester of courses to show in your transfer application it is very hard to imagine that your case is much better than it was as a high school senior. With three full semesters, you will heave a much more complete college track record.

If you want to transfer to a school that is not so selective but you forgot to apply there in your senior year, perhaps it has rolling admissions and you can apply late. Otherwise, why go to a different school at all?

good point, thanks for your help @xraymancs
