i am a current student at Bates college. I am currently thinking of transferring but i want to know whether i have a good chance of getting in. i have an A-, B+ av from Bates and a number of extracurriculars... i am aiming at trying to get into case western reserve university, cornell, middlebury, or columbia. Do all these colleges require the SAT because Bates didnt so i did not take the SAT.

The majority of transfer students are admitted as sophomores or first-semester juniors, and preference is given to those students who have completed at least a full year of college work upon entry. The high school record is weighed heavily and candidates must be in good standing at their current college with at least a "B" average. If your college does not give grades, written faculty appraisals must be submitted. There are normally about 260 transfer applications.

Applicants who have not previously taken standardized tests are not required to submit them as part of the transfer application. However, applicants for whom English is not their first language are required to demonstrate their proficiency in English.
