<p>haha, I know it is..but presupposing that my essays and recs are phenomenal, do you think a 3.5 is too low to be competitive? I'll be majoring in philosophy if it helps.</p>
<p>depends on what college you currently attend if you have that 3.5 at a tier 1 school or tier 2 school then you have a good chance with recs, essays, and ecs and other things, and this thread could stay open</p>
<p>but if thats a 3.54 GPA at a community college, refer to the above post you dont have much of a chance and /thread, go back and get that GPA up to a 3.8</p>

<p>Most people say the magic number for transfer admissions is 3.5
But yeah, it depends on how many credits you have, the quality of those credits, and the institution(s) that you got those credits from.</p>
