I'm considering applying as a transfer student to Yale for fall 2009. I'm currently a biology major. Do they consider your prospective major as a transfer applicant in admissions? For example, could being a science major help me or hurt me, or does your prospective major not matter?

I don’t think so. Especially if you’re transferring as a sophomore, they expect you to change your major. The transfer students here are all pretty diverse in their interests and majors.

Agree with MagiTF.
