Hey i just had a general question about the transfer admission process to top tier schools that are non-ivy.. specifically schools like duke, uchicago and JHU which are actually ranked higher than some ivys (according to USNEWs subjective of course).. these schools have acceptance rates much higher than the traditional low-teen to single digit ivy acceptance rates.. now does that mean that these schools are easier to get into and or is it just that less people apply.. for example, is it easier to get into Duke than Columbia since the regular freshman acceptance rate is about 11 points higher( i know transfer rates are dfferent).. is this percentage a reflection of the admission standards or the number of applicants?
