HI i'm a freshman and looking to transfer after this year, does the school im looking to transfer to look at second semester grades as well as the first

it would be helpful if u actually told us which school ur looking at

new york university

Call the office.

They will look at BOTH semester grades. They will also want your high school transcript and your SAT/ACT scores. In other words, when transferring with one year or less of completed college courses, the transfer college will use your college GPA, college courses, college professor recommendations, application essay, high school transcript (GPA and rigor), and SAT/ACT test scores when evaluating your transfer application.

thank you that’s very helpful

^ If his post had helped you, don’t forget the SAT II Subject Tests, which schools may recommend to see. Some others schools like Boston College and Washington St. Louis optioned out SAT IIs for transfers.

Do you mean “look at” in terms of your admissions decision, or for assigning transfer credits if you are accepted?

in terms of my admissions decision

From the NYU website for fall 2010 transfers (non-nursing):

[NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Transfer Applicants > Important Dates](<a href=“How to Apply”>How to Apply)

So, unless your semester finishes very early, your final grades for spring will NOT be available in time for decisions. You could however submit an unofficial mid-term report if you like.
