From UC to UC is a lot more difficult than from a CCC to UC because they give priority to CCC students; howver, transfering to a private college shouldn’t be as hard

It’s not too hard. Search the hundreds of threads on this same topic on this forum.

@Stanford HARD. forget about it.

a family friend of mine transferred from UCLA to Stanford. he has ADHD though so he accomplishes 3x as much stuff as a normal person would.

Stanford doesn’t release detailed transfer information, but (in all likely hood) you’ll be competing with people from MIT, the Ivies, and other elite schools who’ve decided they don’t like east coast weather; and you’ll be competing with >1000 of them for ~20 spots. You’ll need perfect SATs, perfect grades in the hardest classes, and ridiculous ECs (like being an astronaut or successful alchemist) to transfer from a lesser school to Stanford.

You will need a VERY VERY compelling reason to transfer. Plus a very strong profile: 2300+ SATs, stellar stellar stellar, i repeat, stellar ecs. your letters of rec better be good as well. mine came from a stanford alum, 2 profs, and i just got my 4th one in from a stanford research prof(so last minute). i think im getting rejected though.

I wish you the best of luck SF; it sounds like you have made the best case that you can, coming from a CC. Stanford is in my sights for grad school, but it isn’t worth the effort or expense – for me – to apply as an undergrad (at least given the probability of success).

thanks for the help, talked with a usc admission officer, if you take 30 or more units they dont look at your high school stuff but if less than 30 then they look at your high school info.
