Hey everyone,

I have been going to a community college as a full time student for 4 years now except for this Spring semester I was part time with 1 class only. Through my time there I have only completed 41 units (all C's) out of 130 attempted. I have about 26 W's and 4 F's (I'm retaking those 4 F's this Summer) on my transcript. I know its a horrible record, and it doesn't reflect my high school transcripts one bit I had a 3.4 GPA in high school, but once I graduated I got big headed and wanted to live on my own and work full time and I just couldn't handle working 50+ hrs and school so now I'm back home ready to tackle college with no bills to worry about at all, school is my main focus.

So that means that after this summer I'll have 54 units completed. Realistically I should be getting prepared to transfer, however I fear I'll get rejected due to my record. So, I was thinking, would it be better if I just went to another community college to retake everything there? I wouldn't mind spending another 2 years if it means doing everything right and cleaning up my record. I spoke to a counselor and she didn't seem to care so she didn't have an answer. I've been asking around talking to friends but I'd like to get an opinion from you guys.

An honest, straight up answer would be great. I'm all up for constructive criticism.

Thanks -Abe
