I am a transfer student without about 52 credits. I am currently enrolled in RU NB SAS.
I just finished my housing contract (on the enrollment pathway)
Was wondering when/how do I find out how many credits transferred over?
And
On the enrollment pathway the registration for the RU Network ID is open, but it says spring students don't apply for one til after November 15th? Anyone know whats up with this?

They send you a transfer evaluation in the mail at some point…I’m not sure how quickly they do it for spring transfers, but don’t worry about it…you’ll find out soon enough.

and for the netID I’m sure that’s just when they make it available to you.

The netID page says (for RU NB)

NOTE: Students who will be NEW to Rutgers this SPRING can make their accounts after November 15.
NOTE: it takes at least 15 minutes for a NEW account to become active on this system!!

which to mean means I should probably create my RU NETID after Nov 15th… lol

I have another question…
As a transfer student whats the deal with placement testing?

When I took my placement test for my current university, I was placed in a basic math which I passed… So I’m guessing I wont need to take any placement tests @ RU?

My son is a transfer student, having started this fall. He did not need to take any placement tests before he started. There were some different degree requirements between his previous university and Rutgers, and he did have to take a test in order to get credit for one of the course discrepancies. That said, Rutgers was very good about accepting credit, and he is scheduled to graduate on time.

should I try and contact RU about the placement testing? Or will I be notified about it in the future?

You’ll be notified on your transfer evaluation if you need any placement testing

You’ll have many opportunities to get the credits situation right. You’ll get the credit evaluation and bring it to STAR day. There you can meet with an adviser or dean. If you still have questions or problems, you can always wait for the Transfer students class and all of your problems should be resolved by then.

When is STAR day for Spring transfers? sometime in early January right?
