Transfer questions

Okay, my application decisions are still coming in. So far, I've only gotten an acceptance from UMASS Boston and Gustavus Adolphus, w/a $12,000 Dean's scholarship from Gustavus. I haven't recieved any rejection letters yet.

I applied to most schools on my list as a physics major, but I've since had a change of heart. Since I obviously haven't registered for any classes yet, is it difficult to change my major? I also have applications to:

Bates College
Colby College
Bucknell University
Northeastern University
Boston University
Brandeis University
St Olaf
Carleton College

You don’t say if you’re transferring as a soph or jr. I doubt there’d be any problem as a soph as you usually don’t have to declare a major until the end of soph year, but jr could be different.

It would probably also depend on what you’re changing to. For instance, physics to math is likely to have some very similar prerequisites, while physics to English might cause more additional courses to be taken.

Finally, it likely depends on the school and their policies.
