Anyone who transfer to ND know if possible to take a business class is space available, or if Econ major includes business classes. Main thing I want to be an accountant and CPA, but Mendoza shut out (and I know no back doors don't bother) so Econ seemed like the next best thing and then maybe still can get recruited for Big 4 or accounting grad school.
Anyone think my plan sounds possible? Also anyone have experience with Econ major?

Thanks in advance for the help

Hey big mike I have applied as an Econ major for transfer this fall. Ive taken Econ classes at my current university and like it a lot so far. I have checked but it seems like a lot (or most) of classes in Mendoza are limited to business students. I have also checked the listing of econ classes, and they seem pretty similar anyways (and pretty interesting as well!) Maybe you should look up some classes to see for yourself (their class search is public).

Ok that’s awesome thanks for into. I just worry with 150 hour CPA exam requirements.

Did you get accepted? From what school now? I hope to get on Soph year.

Good luck if your still waiting!!

From what I’ve heard, it can be tough to get into business classes at Mendoza if you aren’t a business major, but I do know that it is possible to take business classes over at St. Mary’s as an ND student and I’m not sure if that is an option restricted only to business majors, so perhaps you should contact them and look into that option. That may be a way you can pick up the additional credits that you need for your CPA.

thanks shellzie!

thats an awesome idea because I will still be doing Accounting Graduate school before CPA exam, but aunt whos partner said if could do even business law during undergrad that would help so I will have to ask.
