<p>Hello everyone, I am going to UCSC this Fall, but I want to transfer after the first year, to UCD. </p>

<p>Is there any chance I will get accepted? Any classes required for me to take? E.C.? </p>

<p>My backup plan is transferring after 2 years... So after my sophomore year. </p>

<p>What should I do to increase my chances of getting accepted to a UC from a UC?</p>

<p>Also, my intended major is Sociology. </p>

<p>I have done a lot of E.C.'s in my high school years and will plan to do more during my first year in college. </p>

<p>UCs generally do not accept transfers without Junior standing. That means that you will have to wait two years before you can transfer. You will also have to have a competitive GPA and all of your requirements finished. Your chances of getting in are much lower than a community college applicant. If you really want to go to UCD, go to a community college.</p>
