I am currently a freshman majoring in Engineering at the University of Rochester. I am applying to transfer to the School of Engineering at Columbia University for Fall 2014. On the other side, I am also very interested in voice performance. However, I am not quite sure about double majoring or a minoring in voice performance yet. Does the Music Department offer minor degree for voice? Is transfer student (non music major in previous college, but have been taking music courses and private lessons ) eligible for applying the Dual Degree Program or the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange? Will I be able to be on the voice minor track first and later on make voice my second major if I feel that the workload is manageable? If that is the case, do I have to reapply to the music department or the dual degree program? If I got accepted to Engineering fortunately in May, will I have access to the courses that the Music Department or Juilliard offers, such as private lessons with voice faculties (I don't mind paying extra fees.)? Thanks
