Transfer questions

Hi Guys,

I just got accepted to Northwestern yesterday as a transfer student (Econ major). I have never visited the campus before, so I am planning to visit in the next few weeks.

I have a few questions:

  1. How is financial aid for transfers? I have heard various answers (no financial aid to fully covered)
  2. How does housing work for transfers? (Are you placed with freshman and do you get to select/rank residences?)
  3. Is there any transfer orientation?
  4. When I visit in the next few weeks, would taking the guided tour be the best option? (there is no admitted transfer tours?)

Also, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all your help.

hi, fellow admitted transfer student! i have already received financial aid package, mine was generous so i have hope for you as well.

transfer orientation is in september, info about it should have come with your acceptance in the mail
