I just got rejected from my dreamschool, and this has REALLY gotten me down. The thought of transferring makes me feel a little better, but I'm not sure what I'm gonna do--not trying to jump the gun here.
Also pardon any dumbness... these are worded kinda awkwardly. Questions:

1.) to be a transfer you must have: ".... completed one year (24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours) of academic study at a college or university at the time that you apply to Northwestern"

The NU site says that the deadline for fall admission is May 1st. However, many schoolyears don't end until mid-May. However, on the actual supplemental forms, the postmark date is listed as June 1st... is May 1st for the online application, and June 1st for the supplemental forms? Or is May 1st a typo? I don't know how I'd get my up-to-date college transcript by then... and I definitely wouldn't have "completed" 24 semester hours. Do I have to wait for winter admission?

2.) "If you applied for admission during the last academic year, you may request in writing to have your application reactivated for transfer consideration."

If I requested that, would both the transfer and the reactivated application be considered, or just the reactivated one? Or just the reactivated one + college transcript?

3.) Should I retake the SAT? Er, can college kids even take the SAT? I had gotten a 2150, and I thought it was good enough... apparently not. I had also gotten 32 ACT. Retake as well (if possible)? I think my main weakness was my GPA and my lack of a hearty list of mindlessly acquired EC's.

Thank you.
